Life is Unpredictable.

I was talking to a friend today about some problems she met with recently. It made me realise that life is really unpredictable. Plans laid out for the future can look rosy now but just a glitch or someone can take that all away from you.A mistake made years back can also come back to haunt you although this mistake might not be due to you.

Sometimes, I really want to change brains with the other gender and dig into their minds to know what they are thinking. One minute - they can say they are willing to give up the world for you but the next minute - their decision to do something drastic will baffle you and throw all the past promises out the window.

Women, on the other hand, do foolish stuff like planning a trip to the zoo for something different or getting 'free' tickets just to spend time with the other half. Do men really understand the reasons behind why women go all the way out to do this? Have they ever dug deeper to even bother asking why and appreciating the reasons for all the work?

I know these has to be a 2-way understanding and communication process but what I would like to express here is for men to take a step back and look at the things your gf or wife has done for you - making breakfast, washing your clothes, cleaning the house, arranging a holiday, picking you up from work or after partying etc and really appreciate the reason why she's put in the effort to do all this.

After we got our new house, I saw a sight I never seen before - Yong was on all fours with a washcloth cleaning the kitchen floor. I know in my heart that it meant a lot to him, getting our own space. I believe its never easy to really understand each other and some times some couples think they do but do they really?

Asians tend to be afraid to ask each other questions and really dig into the brain for reasons why certain actions or words were made. This, I feel, really limits the level of understanding that a couple can really develop. However, this might backfire if the other party is intimidated by the questions.

All I can say to this friend of mine - It's not the end of the world. Not until you say so.

Postmortem of my Outdoor Photos.

I know the title sounds weird la but it is a postmortem that this post will be about.

Firstly, its still thanks to all those that made the shoot possible - Ami, Amos, Chris, YONG, Cherry and the bridal studio for loaning me the 2 gowns at no extra cost.

I totally adore all the photos, though some very un-glam, they bring back great memories from the shoot itself and to me - that's all that matters. Hopefully, 10 years down the road when I open up this album I will still remember the time spent with the above people and the fun day we had.

Some ladies are having thoughts of engaging Amos and I will say, by all means GO RIGHT AHEAD! He's a choice Yong and I made and we totally have no regrets whatsoever. Just look at the photos!

Chris has his own sense and I feel, personally, that some of the shots he took was also fantastic. Took a different perspective of things and I think I was just plain lucky to have both photographers taking almost double of every shot in a different manner. Heng - no need to pay double the price =P

Amos, if you ever read my blog - don't give up or feel depressed or lost with what you are doing. To people preparing for a wedding, finding the right person to capture the moments is vital because at the end of the day its only the photos that will remind us of the whole process and the laughter or tears we shared. This is a talent and not everyone got it. Seriously, you've got tonnes of it in you. So don't ever feel that what you are doing is not worth it.

House shifting & Alfred's house-warming.

Saturday was dedicated to the 'house'. First up, shifting in to our new house and performing our 'xie tu' ritual. My first appliance? A rice-cooker! The atas type! Bought the smart rice cooker that can cook white rice, brown rice, porridge, sushi rice and sweet soup! Got it from Giant for S$130+ and I can't wait to use it again in future...*think I am becoming auntie*


Next up, in the evening, it was to Alfred's house-warming at SengKang. Met Sky and her daughter Nico, Kelvin, Gilbert and his wife, David, Andy and Desmond amongst other Yong's camp mates. It has been 6 months I last met with Sky...

KTV with Ami & Mic..

It's been so long we last spent time together with each other even though we are staying under the same roof. Mich's always busy with school and comes home pretty late. Ami's busy with her work but I still get to say good morning to her. I am busy with the house and am always running around on weekends to get errands done.

So on Thursday, I kinda forced them to go K with me. Well at least we are spending some time together. Mich had to forgo her skates CCA and Ami had to rush down from Hougang after her project. I know I had a blast..I hope they had fun too...

Great Weather!

It poured at around 530am (I think)..made me lazy to come to work..what's new right?

Anyway, the past few day's weather was freaking hot so I am greatly appreciative of the wet and cold morning I woke up to...

Back to work.

Update on Buffy - she's recovering. her stitches are to be removed 10-14 days later which will be next Sat. Think she's getting bored in her enclosure. Will take some photos of her and update them later.
