Green Tea Chiffon Cake...

This is not Pandan Chiffon cake but green tea chiffon cake.
Made by yours truly Mike.
Our resident baker.
I think there's no coconut milk in it - meaning should be healthier???

Yong loves green tea so much that he can polish off 1 tub of Haagen Daz Green Tea ice-cream by himself.
Shared this with Siti and I ended up with 10 slices.
Light and fluffy but full of the green tea scent and taste.
Yummy!!!

Yong's first comment?
"So green!"
And he took 2 slices...

Thanks Mike!

S$10 Flower Dress...

Wore the S$10 dress I bought from Bugis today.
Love the flower print.
Feel so feminine...hahahahaha.....

Paired it off with brown belt from BKK and an inner dress that has lace at the bottom.

Also wore the Thomas Sabo charm bracelet I got from my sisters last birthday.
Was supposed to buy 1 charm every month to add to the bracelet.
After 4 months, there's still only 1 charm..hahahahaah....

Should I??

Erratic weather!

Just a quick re-cap of the weather just 2-3 weeks back.

Isn't the sunset beautiful?

These few days...once it hits 4-5 pm, the sky is as gloomy as it can get!
Yesterday was literally pouring cows and horses at around 5pm!

I had to do some retail therapy since my BKK trip was postponed.
Headed down to Bugis Village (again) to get some more souvenirs (yes, also again).
This time, I headed to get my S$10 dress.
I know it's probably cheaper in BKK but I want to wear them now!
And, it's only S$10 ma..no harm done =P
Back to the erratic weather, I reached BV at 430 pm and left at 5 pm.
It was pouring when I left!
There's this shop that sells watched at the entrance of BV - so smart.
Took out brollies to sell at S$5 each!
Geniuses!

Headed back home and it was still pouring!
I was carrying a paper bag.

Primary school science question: What happens when paper touches water??.

It disintegrates!!!!!
F-ed man!! I barely made it to the traffic light downstairs and my bag was ka-put!!!!

This was what was left when I reached home.
Good-bye AE paper bag.
May you rest in peace.

Back to the happier stuff.
My 2 dresses from BV.
Color's a little off but I'll wear the white one tmrw and take a photo of it.
S$10 each!

Old Navy reached me yesterday too!
1 romper which my colleague got in the same design but its for her 5 year old.
Is that a hint??

Brown tank with rosette sewn on.
Can't see here but the rosette's material is shimmery.
Love this piece.
Basic yet with a touch of femininity.

Shopping always makes a girl happy (at least this girl happy)!

PS: Mr Look - please don't leave the comment that the wardrobe is full. I know it is. I'll just make more space (from your end). Thanks!

How time flies - its been over 10 years!

My favorite dessert!

大姐 ordered this - black sesame ice-cream.
The biscuit is in the shape of a heart!
We went for a walk at Bugis Village - I had to pick up some local Singapore magnets.
After that we headed to my place for a chit chat session.

Thanks Ladies!
Let's meet again soon...

Steady Magazine & Kit Kat!

Saw from rouge deluxe's earlier post that April's issue of Steady magazine will come with a Rebecca Taylor Makeup pouch (pink and blue with polka dots).
2 of my favorite combi - polka dots and pink!
How could I miss it?

The zip has a pink riboon that says 'Produced by Ipsa'.
Love this to bits!

A little more from the magazine on coming issues.
Next issue of sweet magazine, out April 12 comes with a rainbow color bag organiser.

New e-mooks coming out.

Ami and I went to have lunch yesterday and decided to crash Michelle's BBQ party at night.
So, we went to NTUC to get some bbq stuff.
I saw Japanese Kit Kat at the Japanese section!!

Kit Kat Milk Coffee and Kit Kat Sakura Matcha.
I really miss the Green Tea Kit Kat from Japan.
Loved it to bits!

Gentlemen?

Was having lunch with a close girlfriend of mine and she happened to share a personal experience with me...
Call me old fashioned but I believe that on a date..the guy should generally pay for food or drinks etc...
Not that we can't afford it but isn't it a show of being a gentlemen?

Anyway..what happened was this...

He asked her out for a date.
She agreed.
They went for Dim Sum.
He told her she had only S$4 in his wallet.
Which maybe meant he should have gone to the atm before meeting to get more cash!!
Mai Bpen Rai (Nevermind), the Dim Sum place accepted NETS *woo-hoo* you'd think no excuse le right? I had thought so..but nnnnoooooo.......
She had a drink and 2 dim sum (which she offered and he accepted to share) and he had a drink and 1 dim sum.
Time for the bill.
His profession was an accountant so it's (probably) normal to scrutinise the bill.
He took the bill and my gf thought he'd pay.
NO!!
He took out the $4 and passed it to my GF saying that its his share for the food!
The bill was less than $13 in total.
I asked if this guy was poor or was changing jobs or a student etc?
My GF said that he was actually doing pretty ok and could well afford the meal.
In the end, she paid for it and told him to keep his share - he did.

Ok, fine. Once bitten twice shy right?
NO!
She gave him the benefit of doubt and went on a second date with him.
My God! Babe..I ask you here again..you ok or not!??! Not feeling well that day isit?
I was in a state of shock that I didn't really pay attention to the details this time round but you guessed it..
Yes, my gf was asked to split the bill and this time the bill was probably less than $10.

Even taking a cab back together, he asked if she was paying or he was paying?!
Come on! I'm not being a feminist but who asks this kinda question?
Shouldn't it be like 'Shall we share the cab fare?' at most?!
I mean if I am out with a guy, I don't expect him to send me home but since it's the same area, we can share a cab back and maybe split the cost of it (as friends..forget about going after me).
I don't remember any guys ever asking me to pay the cab fare unless I offer to.
Man!!! I can't believe what I was hearing that day!

I went home and asked Yong if he had ever done this kind of stuff before?
Even before dating me (becoz I knew he had gfs before me) he said no and even reminded me that our first date at Fish & Co, I had paid for the dinner as I said I will give the treat since he paid for the movie.
He was kinda baffled as well.

Are we being too old fashion about men being the person paying (or offering to pay) for dates that we go on?
Especially those that asks for the date in the first place?

I am glad to say that I still have gentlemen in my life that opens the doors for ladies.
(Yong does it too - some times).
I appreciate it loads, guys!!
