USS Sept 11, 2010 - The Lost World & Ancient Egypt.

Heading back into time for the next 2 areas.
So exciting althought US had these 2 areas too.

Jurassic Park!
Michelle and I headed to the Rapids Adventure which we got pretty wet at the end of the ride.
Correction: we were soaked!!!
Ma and Ami explored the park instead.
Ami wasn't feeling well and I guess Ma wasn't really up to getting wet.
Nonetheless, she was pretty sporting that day going on most of the rides with us.

In the queue for Canopy Flyer.
Despite looking harmless, it wasn't really.
Michelle and I sat on this ride backwards and that's where the fun came in.

Lunchtime!!

We grabbed hotdogs and mum was enjoying her turkey leg (which looks huge like some dino food)!!
All these while 'enjoying' the Water World show.

After filling our tummies, we headed to the theme area of Ancient Egypt.

Anubis!
The whole area was full of Anubis.
Probably it being the most famous God in shows and most remembered for its features of having a Jackal head.
Anubis is the God of Embalming (process of mummification) and was believed to have watched over the dead.

One of the rides we were anticipating.
Since we took it once in the US.
It was pretty exciting.
Indoor roller coaster!
There's a locker on the side where you can use it free for 30 minutes.
Just be careful how you use it =)
We locked our item in without knowing what the code was.

Entrance of the ride =)
I'd say it's more grand than the US one.

Too dark and pixelized but this guy greeted us at the entrance.
There was a queue behind mum while taking this photo so we had to speed up.

Queuing for the ride.
I have to say, the longest time spent on queuing for rides were about 30 minutes for the Canopy Flyer as it's 4 pax at one go.
The rest of the rides usually ranged from 15-25 minutes.
So it wasn't all that bad.
2 young boys said that they were taking this for the 7th time - that shows you how exciting it was.

More Anubis.

Since there was no real 'Anubis', ancient Egyptians were dressed in the costume to perform the embalming.
This guy was really pressing hard on our heads.
Like resting his weight and not only his hand!!
So, the whole Sci-Fi zone was like 'dead city'.
Nothing was open other than Accelerator which was a 'whirling twirling' attraction (teacup ride).
I will most probably puke so we gave it a miss.
Ma saw something open and rushed in.
Was the merchandise shop..hahaha!!!

Guess the F word.
Moving on to the Big Apple and Hollywood!

USS Sept 11, 2010 - Far, Far Away.

To the land of Far, Far Away.
Needless to guess, its SHREK!!!!!

Shrek's house!
Amy has a door fetish issue..hmm...

My pole.

The cute fire blowing don-gon babies!

Queuing for one of the rides - Enchanted Airways.
It's a junior roller coaster.
Not bad albeit too short a ride =)
No 360 though.

2nd ride - Shrek 4D adventure.
Same as the US one.
If you haven't experience it, do try it out.
There was a long queue when we first entered so we routed back after completing the park.
Ma was ticking off rides taken on her map in the last photo =)
We went for the Donkey Live show but it wasn't really that interesting as compared to something else we experienced in the US park.

Headed to the Fairy Godmother's potion shop (merchandise la).

For Your Happily Ever Afters...

Michelle's 'happily ever after' potion.

Poor Gingy!
Ami found it so nice that she bought him home.

Shrek babies!!
I'm not sure but they look kinda weird...

Fiona and weird faced mum =)
Mum was a riot that day!!

Try harder - the puss in boots looks kinda weird too.

The other ride in Far, Far Away - Ferris wheel (behind me and Donkey).
For children please.
Donkey looks kinda weird too..

VIP princess!
I wanna get this cap!!!

3 'princesses'..ahahaha...

Erhm..Shrek and Fiona (wannabe).

We thought we can pick up the scrolls!
Haha...obviously not!

I know this looks un-glam.
Goldilocks went to jail for stealing porridge!!

The one and only mascot we managed to take a photo with here.
Puss in Boots.
So cute!!
We travel back into time in the next post...

USS Sept 11, 2010 - Madagascar.

After months of waiting, we finally went to Universal Studios!!
*And these posts are pretty delayed =P*
Not all the rides were opened but we did have loads of fun!
Some rides were exactly the same as the ones in US but not all =)
I'll break this down to what we did in the various themed area of the park.

Super duper simple makeup.
I forgot what I used other than Laneige sunscreen sample, UDPP in Sin, blusher, lipbalm and basic foundation =)

Mr Look heading to fetch my family =)
We went to pick up a quick breakfast from Mac and headed to RWS!

Thanks to Ami who ordered the tickets online and mummy for paying =)

This is your ticket!

Attempt 1 at family self potrait while queuing to enter the park.

Attempt 2.

Got someone to take instead..haha..

Mic's attempt =)
Not bad..

Park Map!
I know it's small but that's the point - go visit the park!

We were saying that this looked like the house Winnie-the-Pooh lived in.
Oops, that should be Disney =X

First stop - Madagascar!
*You got to move it, move it*
The huge tree belonged to this movie!

While queuing to take the tourist-y photo with the famous foursome.
I was plain bored as there was a long queue.
Mr Look said the crate was too big for me - I told him I need space too!
*DANGER*

The foursome - Marty, Alex, Gloria & Melman (L to R).
Everyone I saw that went to USS took this photo!
Hahaha!!
Anyway, at Madagascar, there are 2 rides - A Crate Adventure which is a River Boat Ride and a carousel ride for both adults and children.
The River boat ride wasn't open yet.

Entrance to the boat ride.
They actually station staff at the entrance to tell visitors that the rides aren't open yet.
I guess that's a nice touch.
For this soft launch, all visitors are given $5 food voucher and $5 retail voucher.
Not sure when this will last.

Since there's nothing much here (and this is the main different from other USS) we went shopping in the merchandise store!

The super duper smart penguins.

Michelle being bullied - 1st photo.
Lunch box and small penguin trolley.

Michelle with monkey trolley, penguin tote and Marty cap =)
Whahahahha!!
SPASTIC!

The other attraction - Madagascar Boogie! stage show.
There are scheduled timings so remember to get the day's schedule when you get the park map.

Lemur King, King Julien really can dance!!!
Photo opportunities!!!
In USS, the rule is to queue for the photo opportunity with these mascots.
We went cra-zzzzyyyyyy!!!

Michelle says, ' Astalavista babee!'
Hahahaha....

King Julien was still dancing during the photo shoot.

Alex the Lion!

Gloria - she was flirting with the male visitors.
We move on to the land of Far, Far Away.

Note: not all the photos are in sequence of that day's activities as we route back to some spots for shows and merchandise shopping =)
