Happy Mid Autumn Festival!

Some of the mooncakes I tried this year - durian and a weird looking one from Malaysia!
Grandpa bought Kylie a traditional rooster lantern.
Glad that I can spend Kylie's first Mid Autumn Festival before flying off again.

Kylie..

She was taking her own photo.. A series of it!!!
Of course I was holding the phone for her.
Oh, how I miss my lil Look....

Bali not funny..

I know the title sounds weird but my return flight to Singapore was no joke!
The flight took off on time but bearing Singapore the pilot announces that the airport was closed due to bad weather condition and had to turn back to Jakarta for refuelling!
In the end I arrived at 150am when my flight should have been 11pm touchdown.
Most amazing thing was my companion on the flight.
An Australian who has been living in Bali for 6 years with a Balinese wife and child but has a gf in Manila.
And when the flight arrived in Jakarta he called the gf immediately.
Interesting flight back home for me.

Greetings from Bali!

Checking into Bali for one day!
Kylie said brela pointing at my umbrella yesterday morning.
They really do grow up fast!
FaceTime is amazing!
Some FT before I check in and head back to Singapore!
I look dorky but it's alright.

Photo of the Week!

2 photos depicting father and daughter bonding the past week...
Love them both!!

Quick Trip to Bangkok - Foodie post.

Made a super short trip to Bangkok a couple weeks back to catch up with some friends and to get Mr Look's shirt and pants tailored.
Bangkok with a mission!
Food post!!!

How can I miss out on Thai Iced Milk Tea?!

 Thai food at SomTum restaurant!
The food was amazing.

In the evening, met up with my thai sister for some Wine connection food.
This place was located in K-Village.
Took Mr Look and I super long to look for at as it wasn't the one that I went to previously.
That was at Rain Hill, Soi 42.
We are and drank as you can see from the table.

Pee bought us these for supper and they were yummy!
Local Thai delight.

Friday am breakfast at Mac in Platinum!
Tuna pie.
If you like apple pie, you must try this while in Bangkok!

 Lunch!!!
Typical Platinum mall lunch.
After that, we went back for Mr Look's shirt fitting and than out for massage before dinner.
However, the massage place was freaking full and had a waiting time of 1.5 hours.
We gave it a miss and headed to Terminal 21 for a drink.

 Green Tea.
We had dinner at Thong Lor Moroccan restaurant that was set up in MBK's old mansion!
The place was really huge!!
No photos as that place was a little too dark for my iPhone.

Au Bon Pain breakfast before heading to Mo Chit - Chatuchak market.

Local lunch.
Plus, coconut ice cream which I wanted to try for so long!!!
We also went to MBK's Coco Ichibanya for curry rice before heading to the airport.
Yes, we ate so so so much!!!!

FOTD for work: inspired from Channel 8 drama.

Was watching a local Channel 8 drama - 《微笑正义》Poetic Justice one of the weekday and loved the clean look on Rebecca Lim (girl in the photo below).

She's a newscaster in the drama series.
I did my own version of it for work.
Fuss free and probably took me 10 minutes.

Products used: Bobbi Brown black liner, Bobbi Brown mascara, JS eye gloss, NARS blusher in Luster and MAC Barbie beauty powder.
My usual base products were used: JS makeup base, Boujois foundation, Maybelline concealer and CG loose powder.
I need to start filling my brows!!
And, nothing on my lips as usual.

Bodyshop star loyalty promotion.

Elizabeth Arden Brightening Eye Gel.

Bought this at the airport on the way to Bangkok.
Practically spent 30 minutes at the DFS of the Budget Terminal looking for something for my eyes.
After the birth of Kylie, I have been significantly reducing the use of some products to reduce the amount of time needed for my skincare/bodycare routine.
My dark eye rings were getting darker =P
So, I compared the prices of all the brands (Chanel, Origins, Lancome, Estee etc) and selected this as it's one of the more affordable, has brightening and line reducing qualities.
I did not read or compare the products beforehand and went with my gut feeling.
This cost less than S$50.
I've been using it for close to 1.5 weeks and I see the lines reducing and the dark circle lighter!
I think it's also due to the fact that it has a roller ball and I'm also making the effort to pat it in.
The product is very light and non-greasy.
Only problem is trying not to 'roll' the product into the eyes (haha, or that's just me)!
Let's see how long I'll take to finish this product.
I'm using it twice on a daily basis.

Weekly Photo Challenge - Hey, How was your week?

I have to say I haven't been very consistent with Yumeko's weekly challenges.
Nonetheless, here's another instalment of an old challenge.

1. Something you ate this week
 This was easy!!
I ate loads of stuff that we bought back from Melbourne!

Tim Tam, Crunchie, Dairy Milk marvelous creations jelly crunchie bits and nougats!!
It's weird that I can find everything in Singapore but I got them from Melbourne right?
The prices are so different!
Tim Tam was AUD 2 and in Singapore it was S$5 or so.
The Dairy Milk chocolate was AUD5 but in Singapore it was S$9.95 on promo!
This is really yummy!!

2. Something you bought this week
 Still food!
Starbucks salted caramel frap was on 1-for-1, so we had this for Friday tea break!

3. Something you wore this week
I didn't take any photos so this was shot when I was about to make this post.
Both top and bottom was bought in Bangkok on separate occasions.
The shorts has been with me for the longest time and I even wore it during pregnancy as it has a rubber waistband!

4. Something you read this week
Kylie woke up at 630am on Saturday so to keep her busy, I read her 3 books at one go.
All chosen by her from her stash!

5. Something that made you smile this week
Grandpa helping my darling wear her socks.
Family moments like these always reminds me to appreciate the people around me.

Photo of the week.

I was looking for this for the longest time and happen to mention it to my mother-in-law.
On her recent trip to Chinatown, she bought it back for me!
Thank you so much!
These are the little things that means so much and we should appreciate them on a daily basis....

Surprise Party!

I planned a surprise party for Mr Look's birthday this year!
A promise I made last year.
Thank you to Mike and Amy for helping out and to all the rest of the gang for turning up!
I shall let the photos do the talking.

Thanks Michelle for the photos!!!
