Weekly Photo Challenge - Body Care Edition.

Yumeko's challenge time!
This week's on body care edition.
Only when I did this post that I realise I haven't been using as much moisturiser as I had when I was preggers!
Anyway, these are some items I'm using at my in-laws house.
I'm in a situation where I have double of everything as I have the privilege of collecting 2 stashes! =P

Body Care Edition
1. Body Wash
Using LUSH's Grass and Dirty Shower Gel (I prefer the scent of Dirty - haha!) and the porridge soap as scrub.
Philosophy's Mulling Spices was on a really good discount some time back on Drugstore so I bought to try.
Love the thick texture of Philosophy shower gel.
Will try to run a bubble bath with this soon =P

2. Skin Moisturizer

California baby calendula lotion that I am sharing with Kylie.
I bought 6 bottles at one go and now we are left with 1 unopened one.
Time to move to something else as Kylie's getting bumps on her skin and PD mentioned it could be sensitive skin.
So, guess who will be using up her lotions?

3. Hair treatment / Conditioner

After giving birth to Kylie, I've been using Murad's shampoo and conditioner to counter hair loss.
Moved on to Alterna Bamboo and now that I'm almost finishing them, I'm going back to Tsubaki hair spa range.
A kind friend bought so much that I think I might be using that for the next 1 year =X

4. Perfume
My all time favorite - Jill Stuart.
However, similarly with the birth of Kylie, I haven't been using much perfumes.
All of them are pretty much in the condition they were 1.5 years back.

5. Other body care items you use

My must have hand creams for travel.
Almost done with this tube.
Will be opening up another tube soon.

As you can see, I seldom use bodycare stuff.
Due to lack of time (laziness) I guess.
Mostly used during travels as the dryness demands it.

Makeup Buys from Melbourne - Inglot and Prestige Cosmetics.

Well, I did not buy much makeup either =) *yippee*.
Just got a couple of items from Inglot and Prestige Cosmetics.
Prestige cosmetics originates from the US.

From Inglot, I got an eyeshadow brush (AUD 14), Inglot Under Eye Corrective illuminator, Freedom 5 color palette.
2 Prestige let loose eyeshadow dust.

The Inglot freedom palette (AUD 60).
I chose brown hues for traveling reasons.
I will be covering the Inglot buys in more details in a separate post.

 2 colors: Jump (PS04) and Flip (PS12).
If I remember correctly, they don't come cheap AUD16 each.
But it's the first time that loose powder comes in a tube like this and has a sponge applicator at the tip when it's opened.

These are swatches without any base.
The powder is really fine and easy to spread out.

The description on the website:
Let Loose Eyeshadow Dust
Long wearing, luminous loose eye shadow blends effortlessly. Color never creases. The first truly portable, no-mess loose powder eyeshadow. Unique sponge tip applicator provides just the right amount with every dip.

I will do some looks with these for work and see how well they lasts =)

Non Makeup uys from Melbourne.

No massive shopping done but some was done =)
Sharing the non makeup buys in this post.
First up, Kylie's stuff!

Gap buys from the Gap sales!
Each for AUD10.

'
Some interesting stuff to share.
Coles Nappy Bags - these are scented bags to throw soiled nappy (diapers) in so that they won't stink up the toilet or the garbage.
Reason being, the garbage collectors comes only once a week in Australia.
In Singapore, we merely throw them down the rubbish chute and call it a day.
Bought these for bringing out.

Lucas Papaw Ointment - these are great for diaper rash, cuts, insect bites etc.
Used it on Kylie's diaper rash and it was great!
They come pretty cheap as well - AU5.99 at Priceline or Target stores.
Singapore has them too but it's retailed at around SGD 16.

Huggies wet wipes - I love the box.
Nothing else needs to be said =P

Tees and shorts.
Mostly from BigW and CottonOn Factory Outlet.

If anyone remembers, there used to be a Kmart in Singapore.
I think it was at Marina Square.
I used to love Kmart's thick home socks and since there's Kmart in Melbourne how can I leave without them?!

Tadah!!
Love them!!

I didn't buy much clothes since I was on a ban.
This sleep top was from Peter Alexander, a store that sells sleepwear.
I got this from the Factory Outlet and paid only AUD1.90 for it!
The price was marked down from AUD 29.90 and was on 30+60% discount.
Cheap buy!

The 2 sleeveless tops are from CottonOn at AUD 5 each from the factory outlet as well.
And the lace top is from Dotti at AUD 19.95, a tad expensive but I like the color of the top.

Shoes from Target at AUD8.

At St Kilda's Sunday flea market, I bought these local made pots.
These are for essence oil and they release the scent slowly into the air.
I remember a pot that I used to have many years ago that we got from Perth.
A fond memory of my dad.

Some Lush shower gels.

Loads of food stuff!!!!

Photo of the Week!

Hmm...It took me 2 days to get this shot with my darling!!!!
She refused to take a photo with mummy!
See the pouty mouth.

Melbourne in a flash! [Part 2]

*Photo Intensive Post*

I'm going to try to sum up the reminding 7 days in this post so it will be a little more photo intensive.
Sunday where everyone was home, we made a trip to St Kilda beach.

On Sundays, there's a Flea Market at St Kilda.
When they told me Flea Market, I had thought it will be second hand stuff but I was wrong and they were all Australian local produce.
Things such as soaps, pottery, wood work, jewellery, clothes, art work etc!

Family photo after Kylie was done with her milk.

Teo family.

There were dogs every where and this lady stopped to allow Kylie to get closer with her very docile poodle.
First time I see her patting a dog on the head.

My little boo!

Luna Park!
Mr Moon's mouth as the door, this is vintage like in the old movies and it should be as Luna Park is 100 years old.
Worth visiting as it's free entry and you'll only need to pay for the rides.
There's the old wooden roller coaster (1912) with a brakeman in the middle that of the roller coaster that operates the ride.

We walked to Acland Street for some sweets.

Le Bon Cake Shop!
I don't know how many types of desserts they have but it has got to be at least 50 on display!
And, they all look yummehz!!!

From cakes to pastry to biscuits to pavlova - take your pick!
I stood there for at least 10 minutes to decide what to get!!

Vanilla slice (a must try), rhubarb pastry and Vanilla kisses (it's like biscuit with Vanilla cream in between).

 Hot white chocolate.

My greedy face.
I've got a super sweet tooth and when it comes to pastries and cakes - I'm a sucker for them.

Enjoying the sweets!

 Sunday queue!
And we walked back to Luna Park for a short visit  and down to the seaside.

Port Phillip Bay.

Kylie was sleeping.

Public conveniences.

My groggy little darling.
This is the Teo's home in Melbourne and our wonderful home stay location for 10 days!

 Monday we headed to Crown.
Actually Mr Look went to visit and we went to the Factory Outlets.

 Infamous Crown.

Yarra River.

 Quick family photo.
Kylie was enjoying the scenery and the cool breeze.
We headed for a quick lunch and off for shopping.
Usually, our day out ends at around 4-5pm as the shops closes early.
After that, we need to fetch the kids from school and prepare dinner.

We also went to Chadstone Mall to take a quick look and do a little shopping.
I have to say I'm really impressed by the baby care rooms they have in Melbourne.
The rooms are equipped with sinks, a number of changing bay, at least a couple of curtained rooms for breastfeeding, an enclosed play area for older kids and a toilet for mummies to push strollers in with them.
It was amazing the culture they had there.
Not to mentioned lifts just next to the elevators as well.
It was get in and get out to the baby care rooms that I forgot to take any photos!
But we did use it many times.

This was early in the morning at 8am or so.
Heading off to the Vietnam market to buy some groceries for dinner.

Pretty deserted as it was a Wed morning.

Their 'wet' market!
It was amazing the produce they had locally.
Not to mention the price as well.
I guess since it was all local, the prices were naturally cheaper than in Singapore and much fresher!

Our car rental for 3 days while the Teo's went back to work.
We headed back to St Kilda for another reason however, Mr Look took the 'scenic' beach route.
It was 'scenic' cause along the route, the view of the beach was blocked by the greenery as you can see from the backdrop in Mr Look's photo.
However, I got a chance to see the houses along the route and some were really wow-zas~!

Quick stop to take some photos while Kylie was sleeping in the car.

 At a different stop.
The wind was really blowing hard that day!
After 5 minutes out of the car, I told Mr Look to let's get back in!

Stop for lunch back at Acland Street.

Pizza at Rococo.
We brought it back as Mr Teo wanted to try it as well.
Other than stopping for lunch, the other reason why we came back was for Kylie to play with seagulls.

In Singapore, we usually only see animals in the zoo which is a pity.
Kylie sees them on TV and her books so the aim of this trip was also to get her to see more animals.
The reason for the farm visit and a return visit to St Kilda.
She had a blast 'feeding' and chasing the seagulls that day.

The next day we went to Southland mall.
Yes, another mall visit!!
I had to go to Target, Big W and K Mart!!!!!
That sums it up!

What's going to Melbourne without visiting Queen Victoria Market?
In the food court of QVM.

She looks super shocked in this photo.
I wonder why.

A tour of the market itself.
They had so much fresh seafood!
12 oysters were at AUD11!!
Had to give it a miss since no one was up for it and I can't possibly finish 12 by myself.

Bum Burner!
Any takers?

Dessert time!

The fruits and vegetable section.

A stop for coffee + salty caramel macaroon + Kylie's milk time.

Mr Teo said this was a must try but sold out!
Nevertheless, we went back the next day on the way to the airport to get some.
Long queue but yummy.
Try it if you are there.
6 pieces for AUD 6.

A photo to remember.
Kylie was sleeping as well.

Heading to the airport!
A totally different but still wonderful trip!
Enjoyed it to the max and will always remember the experience.

Next up, my buys from Melbourne.
