Roxy's Home!!

In my earlier post, I've mentioned that Roxy went for surgery to remove her uterus.
She's suffering from Pyometra - hormonal abnormality with or without bacteria infection of the uterus.
It's a rather unclear case of illness (which I've found a lot of different explanations on the web) but it's basically affecting the uterus of female dogs which have not been spayed.
The best way to cure this is to remove the uterus of the femal dog.
Which is what Roxy went through a couple days back.

She's home now!

Yong drove Michelle and me this morning to fetch Roxy home.
She's still on medication and she's still not eating.
She's lost a lot of weight from the illness and surgery.
Now, I just hope that she'll start eating some food (any kind of food) to regain her strength.

On her way home..

First gift from her after coming out of her cage.

Look at her ribs and tummy - all the weight gone.
No more my pui pui already.

Very reluctuntly looking at the camera.

Resting on the sofa with a blanket over her.
The next photo is her stitching so please be prepared.

Smaller photo so it isn't that scary.
Nonetheless, the wound was pretty big.

Waiting for her mummy to come home.
Think she was pretty tired.
As she wasn't eating, she was on drip at the Vet the past days.

She was drooling which explains the tissue.

All that matters is she's home now.
Now I pray that she'll be eating soon so as to get the energy she needs to become healthy again.

WE LOVE YOU ROXY!!!

JB.

Went to JB for some shopping and food with Aunty Beth and Uncle Elvin a couple days back.
Headed over to mum's place to get some Ringgit before hitching a ride from Wei to Shunfu.

Yong and Qingying at the door.
She'll be going to childcare after CNY so we won't be seeing her after that.
No photos for the shopping portion but I did snap some photos at Taman Sentosa during dinner time.

Not sure if it was because it was a Tuesday - there was not much crowd there.
Or maybe we went pretty early.

Fun Cheong with char siew - this was handmade and only RM3.

Orh Jian - I still miss the Taiwan version.
We had Cze Char but I was so hungry that I didn't bother taking photos anymore.

Christmas Lightings.

Managed to head down to Orchard on Sunday night to capture some of the lightings along Orchard Road.
Didn't manage to see the buskers and happenings of Orchard Road for Christmas.
Maybe next year..

Some photos that I took while Yong drove along Orchard Road.

Santy Claus looking kinda weird..

I love the blue decor - this was outside Forum that stretch.

Outside Taka stretch was gold/yellow.

Next came red after Heeren.

Raffles City was altogether different.
Funniest thing - there was no decor after PS.
Either because there were no trees or SMU didn't have money. =P

I love the dangles on the trees.

This was before Marina Square going back towards RC.
Looks kinda eerie doesn't it??
Like old trees with the vines hanging and then they can move any time...

Till next year!!

In Loving Memory of Buffy.

Headed out to Paya Lebar to collect the Old Navy shipment that was delivered when I wasn't around.
Decided to go to Ikea for an early lunch as I miss the Baked Salmon. Haiz..not available still.
Anyway, walked around Ikea and since there was nothing much to do today.
I suggested heading down to the pet farms at Pasir Ris.

Wasn't a wise choice.
I thought I was able to (well) "forget" Buffy but when I went in to the 1st pet shop and saw an all white JRT that gave me the same look that Buffy had when I first saw her.
Tears started to well and I ran out to tell Yong that I can't do it.
I think I still need some more time to get over losing Buffy.

Mummy misses you loads...

Sunshine after the Rain..

I've always believed in sliver linings.
Maybe I'm really blessed in various ways that some people aren't.
Well, Roxy's out from surgery which is a major sliver lining!
My washer is also fixed!
Went to JB with Auntie Beth and Uncle Elvin - thank you so much!

Great way to end this year!
Not really ended but nonetheless.

Roxy.

Roxy's not feeling well.
Going for surgery tomorrow.
Please help me pray for her.

December Food Session 7 - Eugene's House.

Had the final food session at Eugene's house on Boxing Day.
They arranged for a gift exchange session and Vivian chose Ah Wee's pressie.
It happened to be a goofy pair of specs!!
Nonetheless, we all took turns to wear the specs for a goofy pic.
Here's Yong and me..

Still quite pretty right?

Anyway, headed home to change and met them up at St James around 1130pm.
Came home at only 3am.
Still freaking tired.

December Food Session 5 - My House.

It's Christmas Eve!
As usual, we will have our Christmas dinner at home and then exchange presents.
Last time, Ami and I would usually head out to club after that.
This year we headed out to see Alvin and the Chipmunks!

Ami and Michelle did all the slogging in the kitchen to prepare the dinner this year.
Thanks Ladies!!!

Table setting - done my yours truly.

Food Galore (again)!!!

Non Alcoholic Sparkling Wine/Juice.

How can we do without our beloved Roxy?

Me!!

2 chef of the day.

A toast to a better year ahead!

Seafood Salad.

Lobster Bisque with Garlic Bread.

Pork with Apple Sauce and Roasted Potatoes.

Supposed to be Molten Lava Chocolate Cake but it wasn't perfectly done.
Nonetheless, it was very, extremely yummy and also fat guilty!

After the washing and cleaning, we exchanged presents!!
