After the long search, please meet Freckles.

Born 23 December 2009.

We picked him up yesterday at 930am and brought him back to Ami's place to meet Prada.

He seemed pretty relunctant to play and was probably scared of the little over-zealous dog!

Thanks to Prada, Freckles opened up and was pooped out by the time we reached home.

He slept and slept and slept.

Whined last night for a little while and woke up 2-3 times in the night which was a pretty good start.

We'll see how tonight.

He's been whining almost the whole day.

Tired after 'socialising' too much..

He was going to zzz when we finished our breakfast.

Had to bring him home to get him accustomed to his area.

His new area!

He wasn't eating yesterday and even puked.

But today, he ate most of his food. Probably hungry and bo bian so just eat.

Tired.

Slept most of the day away.

Jam Hsiao - Mr. Rock Concert 2010 (13 March 2010).

Went to see Jam Hsiao with Ami yesterday.

We were seated really far back and the whole Indoor Stadium was really full when the show started!

We arrived kinda early after dinner ay Brewerks with Yong & his gang of friends.

This was how full the place was!

They gave out free luminous sticks to some of the early birds.

We actually had 2 but 1 of it was leaking so I threw it away.

Anticipate!

He was standing on a high cone.

One of the set where the crown ascended from the top.

I would say the whole show wasn't that bad.

But he did belt out some Hokkien songs which people can't understand and they started fidgeting with their iPhones and eating Rocher etc etc.

He covered most of his songs from the current and previous album.

Some special songs (where I think most people bought tickets to see) where he sang and danced to such as 'Nobody' or 'Ai De Bao Bao'.

The crowd literally went crazy when it started!!

Enough said.

Do You Cherish Your Friends?

Someone once told me that a friendship requires both parties (or more) to put in effort in maintaining it.

I totally agree with that.

I'm probably one that has lost (or rather misplaced) many friends along my journey so far.

Obviously, this could mean that I haven't put in the due effort to keep some of them (or some of them do not want me as a friend anymore - yes, I get the hint).

As we progress in life, many events happen and probably we lose track of our old life and old friends that we've gathered along the way.

Or maybe, as time passes - some friends may not seem important anymore?

One friend of mine recently posted a question on FB, ' Which one's worse - to know that one has changed or to realise what one truly is?'

I believe that at some points in life we always stop to wonder (either by own enlightenment or when someone mentions it) if we have really changed so much?

Or, are we so different that we do not know who we are anymore?

After having lived 27 years of my life (so far), I realised that there are things in life that are pivotal.

People who are always there to let you know that despite you've changed - they still love you for who you are.

These are the things that we (or rather I) focus on when I am lost or down or unsure of myself.

Changes are inevitable (as we learn on textbooks) but how we deal with ourselves - now that's managable.

Things such as my closest friends, my boss, my loving husband and most importantly my sisters.

These pivotal people are probably the ones I focus my life on and really live life itself to the fullest.

Despite losing some friends, it's time I find them back and do my part.

Whether or not they are willing to do their part - that's totally up to them.

At least I've tried on my end.

So my question to my readers - 'Do you Cherish Your Friends?'

Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.

Caught this movie with Yong on Saturday morning after my insistent chanting, 'I want to see Alice in Wonderland...'I want to see Alice in Wonderland...'I want to see Alice in Wonderland...'

Sypnosis: 17-year-old Alice (Mia Wasikowska) attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. She runs off, following the White Rabbit (Michael Sheen) into a hole and ends up in Wonderland, a place she visited in a similar manner 10 years before, yet doesn't remember. Wonderland was a peaceful kingdom until the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) overthrew her sister, the White Queen (Anne Hathaway). The creatures of Wonderland, such as the Cheshire Cat (Stephen Fry), Tweedledee and Tweedledum (Matt Lucas) and the March Hare (Paul Whitehouse), ready to revolt, wait for Alice to help them. With the help of the White Queen, the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) and the Caterpillar (Alan Rickman), Alice starts seeing flashbacks of her original visit, back when she was seven

The makeup and costumes weren't exactly what I had imagined when I was reading this book at 5 or 6??

Probably lack of it at that time.

I can't stop connecting some scenes of Johnny Depp to the 'Pirates of the Carribean' and 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'.

Especially the parts where he seemed lost in thoughts - the expression reminded me of his role as Willy Wonka.

Anne Hathaway - Yong remembered her as the princess diaries..

We were both mimicking her actions during and after the show.

So prim and proper with her fling of the wrist or a twist of her skirt.

Her facial expression was so 'fake'..hahhaha..but I think that's what a fairytale is about!!

'Off with their Heads!!!!'

She was hilarious!!!!

Portrayed the role to the T!

The storyline could be a 2nd episode to the Alice in Wonderland fairytale we read when we were young.

It wasn't about the trip Alice made when she was 7 but a second trip to Wonderland when she was 17.

It was interesting but slightly twisted with the wars between sisters etc (I don't really remember the storyline of the original Alice in Wonderland but I don't think there was a good and bad sister in it?)

Anyway, the truth is that sisters fight!

Ami and I have been at each other's throat since what 2-3 years old??

But the ending was a tad sad as the red queen was banished.

Haiz..what happened to family being the most important asset and we should learn to forgive and forget?!

I suppose as we grow up we forget lessons we learn when we are young.

The simple lessons such as telling the truth or standing up for what you believe in.

As we grow older and we lose our sense of directions in life.

We just get pushed by the current to where the current goes to.

We start getting lazy, start finding excuses or blaming others in life...

I guess that's what the story was trying to tell me.

That deep down inside, I should find back all those lessons learnt when I was young (be it good or bad) and remember them.

Overall, it was a great movie with great makeup and great effects.

Pay attention to Johnny Depp's eyes!!!

Kumar: Stripped Bare & Standing Up.

The show was fantabulous!

I've always wanted to watch Kumar in action but by the time I could go into Boom Boom Room - it closed.

Take every thing with a slight pinch of salt and 'Hey, your life's pretty good!'

They always say that the most difficult thing to do is laugh at yourself.

I think Kumar did a great (great doesn't even describe it) job.

Some times in life, you just have to look back and laugh at what you've done.

Some jokes mentioned were a tad bit crude but that's what stand up comedy is all about!

I appreciate the last words mentioned by Kumar in the show.

Family's always there for you so always, always remember them and not take them for granted.

Also, money can't buy happiness - always remember that.

I think in life, everyone chases the material stuff and forgets the most basic sustenance.

I'll try to preach what I am going to say next and that is being able to let go.

It's not good nor healthy to always harbour bad intentions, memories or feelings.

But! I will still learn to shut up when I should! Hahahaha..
