After Carrefour, we headed back to the Villa and we were pooped. We changed and we went to La Sol, a spanish restuarant near the villa for dinner. The food was ok but the place was crowded by the time we left. The crab chowder was a tad bit watery to be considered chowder for me but maybe it was their recipe.

Bali - Seminyak, Seiryu Villa.
The reception area. Apparently, this place just opened up less than 2 years ago. The place is really serene.
Me at the beach. The sand was grey or near black. I have no idea why. The waves were huge though and it was really hot!
Yong's post birthday celebration.
Today was the day to visit the doctor for our rashes as well as to distribute the little gifts I brought back from Bali to my sisters and mum (it was really little..).

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009 - Mother's birthday lunch & Dinner with Diana's Family.
Well, before we fly off to Bali for our Honeymoon, it was my Mother-in-law's birthday a couple days back. Although Yong's family has no tradition of celebrating birthdays in their family, my family has! So, I roped the 2 brothers into giving mom and dad (& Ler Jun of course) into a dim sum buffet. We decided to go to Tung Lok at ECP for their Dim Sum lunch buffet yesterday. Their variety was not bad, photos of the food to be found on Ler Jun's blog. We had the usual Har Gao, Siew Mai, Fun Cheong (shrimp and char siew), Char Siew Pau, Century Egg porridge, carrot cake, Steamed pork ribs, steamed chicken leg, fried fish in Thai sweet & sour sauce, fried squid amongst a lot more. The desert was different - apple & chrysanthemum jelly - this was very refreshing as it was not that sweet. While we were waiting for the food to be served..photos!!
Then, we made our way to the restaurant. Thanks to Wee Hong for making the booking for us! I have to comment - the service was really good at Jumbo. Food came pretty fast too.
We ordered - Peking duck (2 ways), scallop with yam ring, Lemon fried King Prawn, Kailan, homemade bean curd, medium soon hock steamed, bacon roll, golden phoenix chicken and individual deserts. The food was yummy!! (think I really need to start exercising!)
