Happy 1 week into married life, Mr. Look!!
Well, before we fly off to Bali for our Honeymoon, it was my Mother-in-law's birthday a couple days back. Although Yong's family has no tradition of celebrating birthdays in their family, my family has! So, I roped the 2 brothers into giving mom and dad (& Ler Jun of course) into a dim sum buffet. We decided to go to Tung Lok at ECP for their Dim Sum lunch buffet yesterday. Their variety was not bad, photos of the food to be found on Ler Jun's blog. We had the usual Har Gao, Siew Mai, Fun Cheong (shrimp and char siew), Char Siew Pau, Century Egg porridge, carrot cake, Steamed pork ribs, steamed chicken leg, fried fish in Thai sweet & sour sauce, fried squid amongst a lot more. The desert was different - apple & chrysanthemum jelly - this was very refreshing as it was not that sweet. While we were waiting for the food to be served..photos!!
Happy Birthday!!
Oh, Kangwei's birthday's coming too!
Happy Birthday Bro!
Hope you like the jersey we got you!!
Enjoy your birthday celebrations.
After brunch, we went to Bugis for a visit to the temple and also a walk at iluma - the new shopping scene opposite Bugis Junction. We found this very neat shop selling very unique presents.
To all those friends - my presents in the near future will probably come from there *haha*.
Came back home and Yong took a nap before heading out to ma's place. We have a dinner appointment with Diana & her family at Jumbo. Before moving off, it was time to feed the dogs. I miss Buffy so so much! I've been back 3 days this week alone to visit her. They were so guai (well, when it involves food, they're always guai!), waiting in their cage/enclosure to be fed.
Aren't they cute? The little devils!
Food!!
Then, we made our way to the restaurant. Thanks to Wee Hong for making the booking for us! I have to comment - the service was really good at Jumbo. Food came pretty fast too.
We ordered - Peking duck (2 ways), scallop with yam ring, Lemon fried King Prawn, Kailan, homemade bean curd, medium soon hock steamed, bacon roll, golden phoenix chicken and individual deserts. The food was yummy!! (think I really need to start exercising!)
Can't resist the Peking Duck...
Baby Christine!
Mic, Ami and Diane..
The 'family' - baby looks fierce!!
Lemon Fried King Prawn.
Me doing my 'motherly' duties while the mother and father eats their meal in peace...
Cute right??
After eating, we had plans to go K but Michelle had to go home study and Yong had prior arrangements with Eugene and gang. So, we went over to play mahjong instead. It was really fun reminiscing the old times and just spending time with family.
Davine - please remember our manicure session! I'll contact you when I get back from my honeymoon!!
