Thank You!

Thank You!!

Thank you for all the Birthday wishes and simply for just remembering it.

I'm always grateful that I am blessed with the people around me (despite some really bad people) and all the love and care they shower upon me.
Sometimes its simple things like that that really make living this life worthwhile.
There are always ups and downs but I always believe that at the end of it all there's always a silver lining.
This be it your family or some friends or even acquaintances that will make things better eventually.
These are the people I am sincerely grateful to for making it all better.
Once again, 'thank you all!' on this day that I grow older (sadly).

Off to the Airport.

It's 512 today. In old pager lingo, it means ' 我 爱 你 '.
Ya, I know - I just revealed how old I really am.

Anyway, today was the day to send ma off to the airport for her Gold Coast trip.
I had a full 12 hours of sleep last night and it felt really good!
Watched some cable in the morning - The Nanny. Man, I miss the show!
It was something I grew up with (ok, I revealed my age again) and it really brought back memories.
Headed to Ma's house at around 3 pm and as usual - grabbed Roxy for photos!

Albeit relunctant..

Looking at her mommy..

Close-up.

I kept keeping watch on the car as I forgot that I needed to put parking coupon!
Ami and Ma weren't ready so I had to keep an eye on 'Aunty' ( I was lazy to go down as there was only 1 lift serving the whole block).

Pretty straight eh?

Headed to the airport around 430 pm and on the way there Ami told ma to call Mich to take cab instead.
I didn't catch the hint until I saw my speedometer - 110km/h.
Got the hint already - reduced to 90km/h.
Ma's friends were meeting at 7 pm so we adjourned for dinner.
Took some photos after finishing the food.

It was raining and there was a jam at PIE when I was sending Michelle home.
Came back and went up to tell my MIL that I was going to Batam tomorrow.
FIL offered to wash the car before Yong returned but I told him I will be driving to work on Monday and since it has been raining these days - told him that it was ok.
Anyway, the rain today washed pretty much everything off.
Ok, off to shower and bed for tomorrow!

3rd Birthday Celebration.

It was a simple lunch but I appreciate it loads.
Thanks Esther and Mike for the wonderful time at lunch today.
Dim Sum at Crystal Jade!
I got to try a couple of new stuff today that I never knew existed in my Dim Sum world.

Esther got me this Juicy perfume onboard CX on the way back to SG.
I liked the charm on the bottle.
Thanks Esther!
Guess what I will be bringing to Japan with me next Feb?

It's Officially Business - Part 2.

Part 2.
Most of the day was work.
Had a little fun after that though.

What I wore - silver turtleneck from VS, black dress from Zara TRF, tights and pumps.

The cab we took to Futian CBD.
I like how the day of the week is being displayed on the car seat.
Reminds you how close to Friday it is!

Random shot.

Lunch at a nearby restaurant with the whole gang.

My Cod fish set lunch.
Only 40RMB - cheap cheap!

Came to Dong Men at around 5-ish for shopping and some dinner.
This place kinda reminds me of Ximenting in Taiwan.
Loads of stuff to buy!!

Modern Toilet!
The restaurant famous for using toilet decor and well toilets as their theme.
The computer is re-starting as the place black-out while were there.

My poor baby in the bathtub - must be cold.

Carbonara on a toilet seat cover.

Our drinks.

My hot milk tea - I miss Taiwan!!
This one has no pearls/bubbles in it.

Dessert!

There were so many shoe shops!!!

My loots - knit dress from Uniqlo, tights, tights and more tights...

Boots, boots and more boots...

Esther's loot...
We went for a massage at around 11pm after packing our lugguage.
Cleaned my ears, went for hot stone massage, gotten a feet massage all for S$50!
And, this lasted for close to 4 hours!!
We went back to hotel around 4am in the morning and our flight was at 230pm!
Yes, we overslept!! We did make it home though.

The MPV that took us from ShenZhen back to HKIA.

On the plane!!

We arrived in Singapore at about 6pm and headed home to put down our lugguage.
Had the time to pop by Yong's mum's house to put down the lo po bing and then had to head to iluma's K Suite for a gathering.

This was a really hectic week but nonetheless very, very fulfilling for me.
Will try to catch up on my sleep this weekend.

It's Officially Business - Part 1.

Finally able to upload some photos from the Shen Zhen trip.
Nothing much in this first post but giving credit to Shangri-la.
Arrived at Shangri-la Luohu at close to 11pm on Monday.

Lobby of Shang.

Checking in.

Lights in the lift.

Cam-whoring in the toilet.
Wore a simple turtleneck with jeans for the flight.

ShenZhen!

Yeap!! We've arrived at the 5* Shangri-la hotel.

Kinda jinxed actually.
Let me re-count thy things that had happened to me/us today.

1) Was supposed to pick up Esther at 245pm from her house to head down to the airport today. Had a last minute message from a recruiter asking me about stuff over and over again which obviously made me late in leaving the house.

2) Headed downstairs and managed to get a cab - lucky me! WRONG!! The cab driver went to the PIE entrance near my house despite me telling him that he can't go towards the airport using that entrance. Darn! He still took it - went to TPY to exit and u-turn. Haiz. He apologised and deducted part of my cab fare.

3) Went to check-in at the counter for Cathay and to my horror - they want to check my bloody credit card that I used for the booking! I didn't bring lor. Shit! Had to pay with another credit card and they will credit back the amount to my other card!!

4) Esther checked in after me and realised that the seat number given by the travel agency was not a reserved seat. She was assigned to another seat. That was settled promptly when we told the counter staff we want to sit together.

5) Flight took off late.

6) I filled up all my cards (arrival and health declaration) on board. When I reached the immigration at the HKIA - I can't seem to locate it!!! F-ed! Had to go back and re-fill another one while Esther waited. Went back to queue (only 1 person in front though) and I realised that the original card was slot in between the cover and first page of my passport lor!! Felt damn stupid lei!!!!

7) Colleagues told us to get a 'bus' shuttle directly from the airport for about 30+ SGD. So, we went to search for the counters. Bought the tickets for around that price and went to the 'loading and unloading bay'. An MPV came!! We were like 'not bus meh'?? So its either this was their so called 'bus' or we got a better deal for the same price that our colleagues paid for a bus (FYI, my notion of bus = those buses or coaches we take to Malaysia). This wasn't a really bad thing that happened la.

8) Arrived in the hotel, we wanted to go recce. But guess what? We on-ed our laptop and now its 1156pm - I am still here after showering! We realised that there were 2 Shang's in Shenzhen - best of all? Both Shangs are near one of the offices!!! We literally looked at each other and started giving the 'look'. Laugh or cry?????? It's a done deal since we've already checked in. So we called the Front Desk to check on the time needed to travel to the other office. I heard '20 hours' when I went into the toilet and I freaked! No lar - 20 minute. Heng not far away lor.

Ok, that's all my updates for 1 day.
Going to rest and head out for work tomorrow!
Toodles.

Signing off from ShenZhen Shang.
