One day at work, Siti and I were chatting on MSN.
We talked about Batam and how she liked to go for spa there as it was way cheaper.
This developed into a 1 day trip to Batam just before my birthday as Yong was supposed to be running the SC Marathon on this day.
We booked the Batam Fast ferry to Sekupang and away we go!
At Harbourfront Ferry Terminal waiting to board the fast craft.
Our breakfast - Subway Eat Fresh!
Thanks to Charles for bringing us around Batam on that day.
First stop - lunch! A&W!
Singapore doesn't have this anymore.
Really brings back Secondary school memories as we used to study at the one in AMK Central.
Next up, 'grocery' shopping at Matahari.
Our cart - full of food stuff.
My recommendation - Qtela Cassava Chips.
If you can find the cheese flavor - try it.
Got to learn something new on this trip - Abon (Halal Beef floss).
Siti bought like 8 cans for her family.
This was really colorful - its all the dried crackers.
Next up, Win's spa.
Selecting what treatment we wanted.
We had 30 minutes before the spa so we headed to the Polo shop opposite.
Ami and I shared a couple room.
Along the way to massage as I felt that the massage at the spa was insufficient, Siti saw something and asked us to stop.
It was turtle eggs!! Don't ask!
IndoThai!
The place where the massage is really good.
Headed to Batam Center for the 730pm ferry back to Singapore.
Had KFC for dinner and bought Jco donuts for Michelle and Kangwei.
Siti bought Breadtalk as it was Halal.
Rushed like mad for the ferry but we made it in good time.
I was really pooped by the time we got back but it was all good fun.
Let's do it again with an overnight stay in Batam, ladies!!
