YOG2010.

I told Yong at the beginning of the YOG that if Singapore can win at least a bronze it'll be a feat.
We (or rather the atheletes) did better than that!
Singapore's football seems to be looking up too.
I caught some of the YOG actions - Rainer Ng scoring his Silver in the pool, Taekwondo's bronze and last night's match where Singapore cubs won Montenegro 3-2 to advance.

Best thing?
These winners are true blue Singaporeans.
I'm not against the foreign imported talents in any way but it feels d*mn good to see some bred and born Singaporean youths winning these medals.

Was chatting with a colleague this morning on the YOG and why the medal table isn't in the official website.
She sent an email to check and the reply was that the YOG was supposed to be a friendly gathering of youths all around the world and winning a medal wasn't supposed to be on the top of their minds.
That explains the weird combinations for the marathon relay and the shooting teams we saw on TV.
It's pretty interesting to see them bond this way in YOG.
I wonder if the athletes of Singapore get any cash incentives for the medals they won??

One last thing, I saw Joscelin Yeo on TV last night with the PM- she doesn't look that man-ly anymore.
Quite pretty I must say. =)
